APPLICATION DEVELOPER, COMPUTATIONAL DRUG DISCOVERY
Design, develop and maintain informatics applications and related
integration components that support Drug Discovery Research. Design, development, and integration of mult-tiered
WEB desktop, and server applications that interact seamlessly with existing commercial as
well as in-house informatics applications.
Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, or Computer Science and a minimum of
6 years of related experience/training or a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 8 years of related
experience/training. Scientific training in chemistry or biology strongly preferred. Extensive
experience designing and developing chemical or biological informatics systems. Experience
in relational database application programming with extensive knowledge of system design
and query optimization. Familiar with Oracle development environments, and application
enabling technologies. Unix, Windows NT/2000, MS Office applications. Oracle application
development, SQL, PL/SQL. Strong documentation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Applications: MDL (ISIS API, Chemscape, PL), IDBS (ActivityBase), Open Text Livelink,
Spotfire DecisionSite. Programming: MS Visual Studio (VC++, VJ++, VB), Unix C/C++,
Java, Unix shell scripting.
