HEAD OF COMPUTATIONAL CHEMISTRY, CAMBRIDGE, UK 

The company was set up in 2000 by a team of individuals with the highest credentials in business and research to commercialise proprietary technologies in predictive algorithms for in silico ADMET. It has since received further substantial funding allowing it to move ahead with its business plan to build a discovery research capability in biology and chemistry with the intention of producing commercially viable NCE/ IND's and performance enhanced medicines.

The company is seeking to recruit a Head of Computational Chemistry to devise and implement the strategy for chemistry and assist the Board in its business plan.

The primary responsibilities of this position are:

bulletTo set the strategy in computational chemistry.
bulletTo further develop and utilise the company's proprietary software technology platform.
bulletTo manage the cheminformatics team.
bulletTo act as the company resource and specialist on all matters relating to modern computational chemistry and cheminformatics.

Profile:

bulletEducated to PhD standard.
bulletA minimum of 5 years experience in computational chemistry including small molecule modelling, protein-small molecule interactions and artificial intelligence methods.
bulletA strong record of creativity in computational chemistry including patents and scientific publications.
bulletPrevious team or group leadership.
