A pharmaceutical company, located in Montvale, NJ, is seeking a Senior Biostatistician
(Early Stage Biostatistics).
Scope:
Provides statistical support for projects in the earlier stages (preclinical/Phase
I/IIa) of drug development. Collaborating with study team to address specific statistical issues to
designing Proof of Concept study and early phase studies. Provide hands on support on
pre-clinical and early phase projects. Explore novel statistical methods (including but not
limited to Bayesian) for enhancing early stage decision-making. Identify, evaluate
and develop statistical methods for integrating pre-clinical, biomarker and genomics data into
early stage decision support. Maintaining high statistical standards to be used in the
analysis of early research. Providing focused analyses that represent best statistical
practices.
Requirements
Minimum 5-8 years experience required. Solid background in mathematical
statistics and evidence of ability to conduct creative methodology research. Basic understanding of the
application areas, e.g., genomics, pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, modeling, clinical
pharmacology, toxicology. Previous experience in pharma/biotec industry is preferred, but
not required. Outstanding verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal
skills. Ph.D. in biostatistics or statistics with research emphasis on Bayesian statistical
methods required.
